Taken in the woods behind my home near the Neversink River, in upstate New York. I’ve chosen to see this robin’s egg shell as evidence of its inhabitant having broken free to move on to its next phase of life.
The photo captures a small section of the Palisades, taken from the New York side of the Hudson River, using a Celestron Ultima 80 spotting scope. Its title represents my marveling over plant life and trees pushing themselves through mountain rock toward the sun.
