A glorious seaside view today from Camden Hills State Park in Maine
Photographed from the circular stone tower at the summit of Mount Battie in Camden Hills State Park, Maine, this view captures Camden Harbor and Penobscot Bay on a stunning July day. A must-see destination for visitors traveling along scenic Route 1, the tower was constructed in 1921 to honor those who served in World War I.
Catherine D’Agostino lives in Fredonia, N.Y. Her photograph, “The Buoys,” was featured in Artscape 2024 as part of an outdoor public art gallery in Jamestown, N.Y. In 2023, she published a novel, Braided Lies: A Thousand Islands Castle Mystery, which was inspired by a visit to Boldt Castle in Alexandria Bay, N.Y. In 2024, her play, Internal Suspension, was a finalist in the Lake Shore Center for the Arts Organic Juicebox International One Act Play Competition. She is enjoying more opportunities for photography and writing since her recent retirement as a high school English teacher.
