Today we welcome back the work of David Osu who talks about his views of the sea below.

Sea Blues

I shot this at Henley Beach in Adelaide, South Australia. Such perennial wonderment: the vastness of the ocean, its movements, its textures, the life underneath and the life above; this body, this being, as we reach out to the ocean, whether as swimmers or onlookers; the outline of the human mind alongside the ocean’s; the horizon, our horizons.

See blue, I say; sea blues, I write.

The free dog and the sea

I captured this photo also at Henley Beach in Adelaide, the same day as ‘Sea Blues.’ My aim was to capture the dog suspended in the air. I titled this image after Ernest Hemingway’s ‘The Old Man and the Sea.’
