Today we bring back the photography of Wendy Peck.
Whitney Beach is on the north end of Longboat Key, a barrier island on the west coast of Florida. It is a designated bird sanctuary. One of the joys of walking at the water’s edge is seeing the variety of species—sandpipers, herons, terns. The image above captures a pair of white ibises foraging in unison.
The photograph below was also taken at Whitney Beach. While most eyes focused on the sunset, I turned around in time to catch the mass of glowing clouds forming opposite the sinking sun.
Beautiful photos.
Thank you Patricia. That’s a huge compliment coming from you!
I grew up on an island and these beautiful photos remind me of how much I miss the sights and sounds.
