Scottish Highland winters are long and dark. The fields where I take my daily walk can feel barren and stark but winter brings its own beauty. I discovered various ‘flowers’ all around by playing with the light. These images include local landmarks known by their Gaelic names.
“Frost Flower” (below) and “Diamonds” (above) feature our local hill, Tor Achilty, in the background. Majestic Cùl Mòr and Cùl Beag can be seen just peeking through the murk in “Sun Flower.” (last photo below).
