Today we offer two glimpses of the Cataraqui River in Ontario by Meg Freer.
River Reflections (above) and River Fog, Geese and Logs (below) were taken from the shore of the Cataraqui River in Kingston, Ontario. The river presents a constantly changing landscape, and I am particularly fond of this series of logs along one section. Turtles like to soak up the sun on the logs in summer, but the logs are interesting in all seasons.
Meg Freer teaches piano, writes poetry, and does occasional freelance editing and proofreading from her home in Kingston, Ontario. Her photos, short prose and poems have appeared in various North American journals. She is co-author of a poetry chapbook, Serve the Sorrowing World with Joy (Woodpecker Lane Press, 2020) and author of the chapbook, A Man of Integrity (Alien Buddha Press, 2022).
