Today we feature the photography of Steven Pelcman who describes his images below.
The Sardinia sunset falls upon the sea like a lost lover. Deep into the layers of color on the horizon you see a sailboat, blackened by the growing shadows. You linger to feel the sun fade and wait for the waves of colors to paint the sky. It’s a tender beauty that brings a stillness, and it feels lonely and joyous at the same time.
The top of Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy is a landscape full of surprises in color as if on a crater on the moon. There is mist and shadows and a sunset that fills the eyes with a silence full of wind and beauty. It’s possible to experience tremendous clarity, and minutes later feel as if you’re a ghost walking through a sandstorm.
