Today we feature two photos by Jim Still-Pepper who describes his images below.
A great blue heron finds a perch atop dead branches, a reminder that the living can find rest even in the midst of death. In grief there can be a peace; in death, there is life. The image was taken at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area (Cumberland River area), Kentucky.
This image comes from the quiet waters of Salt Fork Lake, Salt Fork State Park, Ohio. Though the ripples fade, the cause remains even when the effects are gone — the power of legacy.
Thank you so much Rudri and Beth. I am proud to be a part of Sunlight Press. This is such an honor to be included.
