Photography week continues with the work of Phil Baarda.

Phil took his photo, “Tor Achilty,” close to where he lives in the rural Highlands of Scotland. He writes: Deriving from Scottish Gaelic, Tor Achilty is an obscure description, probably simply meaning high hill, and it’s a prominent local landmark in this part of the Scottish Highlands. Just below the summit is Bruthach an Ràtha – ‘the slope of the ancient fort’ – and the area has folklore associations with river horses, bull sacrifice, and holy men.
