Flower Illuminated by the Sun – Luck plays a bigger role in photography than most people think. In taking this photo I was lucky enough to catch a perfect flower with a delightful arrangement of modulated reds and pinks against a verdant background. The interplay of forms and colors makes for a striking composition.

Sunlight Through Flower Petals – It’s easy enough to take photos of the surfaces of flowers, and lots of people do it. The subject of this photo, though, is not the flowers themselves, but the light – the light that comes through the flowers and makes it look as though they have an inner glow.
