We begin 2020 with two photos by Edward Lee. Edward describes his photos below.
Life Buoy – I have always preferred outdoor photographs, of the moment. I remember seeing the constrast of the lifebuoy against that glorious sky, and then the happy accident of the man and his dog about to walk by – this vast open space, and this man and his dog. This photograph was taken in Galway, Ireland.
Stones On Bench – Again, a beautiful sky, and a bench. The stones were already on the bench (a wonderful, happy accident) and their coloring caught my eye in comparison with the sky. This too was taken in Galway, Ireland.
Edward Lee's poetry, short stories, nonfiction, and photography have been published in magazines in Ireland, England, and America, including The Stinging Fly, Skylight 47, Acumen and Smiths Knoll. He is currently working on two photography collections: "Lying Down With The Dead" and "There Is A Beauty In Broken Things." He also makes musical noise under the names Ayahuasca Collective, Lewis Milne, Orson Carroll, Blinded Architect, Lego Figures Fighting, and Pale Blond Boy. Find more at edwardmlee.wordpress.com.
