Today we continue our publication of photography with the work of John Smistad. We most recently published John’s work in October, paired with the poem “The Electrician’s Office.”

The first photo John said reminded him of a pastel painting. He captured the image during a summer evening in Ellensburg, Washington. The second photo is of his two eldest sons in silhouette against a stunning Central Texas winter sunset. He calls it “East of Groesbeck.”
