Today we continue our publication of photography with the work of Olivier Schopfer whose images we last published in September 2017. He took these photos on recent travels in New England, Scotland, and Portugal. We look forward to posting more photos that inspire and transform everyday moments.
Olivier traveled around New England in late September and early October 2015. He’d always dreamed of seeing the changing colors of the fall foliage in this part of the world.

St Abb’s Head is a nature reserve on the southeast coast of Scotland where one can climb above the North Sea, and walk along dramatic cliffs with outstanding views. Featured here is St Abb’s Head Lighthouse.

Olivier visited Algarve in spring 2017. The Seven Hanging Valleys Walk is a nature trail following the winding outlines of the cliffs and offering stunning views of the coastal landscape. The sea stacks (columns of rock left standing in the sea after the erosion of cliffs) are typical of Algarve.
These are beautiful photographs. I was very excited to see the one of New Hampshire, which is where I live. Can you tell me where it was taken?
Thank you very much, Liz. The photograph was taken from the Kancamagus Scenic Byway, in Northern New Hampshire.
Thanks!
Oliver, these are simply stunning!
Thank you so much, Phyllis!
