Today we continue our publication of photography with the work of Guy S. Ricketts. We look forward to posting more photos that inspire and transform everyday moments.

About the photograph, Guy writes, “It was a morning in November, and we had an unusual amount of snow for that time of year. There is a beautiful tree just outside my window, full of berries and covered in fresh snow. Robins fly in and out of it, lunching on the round red berries. But this one robin seemed to position itself among this berry buffet, contemplating its good fortune before finally partaking of the bounty of berries.”

Guy said he was surprised to find the robin had not flown south when he took the photo in 2015 in Livonia, Michigan. “It’s such a beautiful slice of nature that was being missed by the rest of the world and I was able to capture this moment with my camera.”
