Beth Burrell is a writer and editor who began her career as a daily newspaper reporter before earning an MS in Education, with a focus on psychology. She has worked and volunteered in nonprofit and school communications, and tutored children in Philadelphia schools and adults working to earn their GEDs. Her work has appeared at First Day Press, Newsworks.org, Quaker Works magazine (of Friends’ Central School), Philadelphia Social Innovations Journal, Penn Engineering, and in various newspapers. Rudri Bhatt Patel is a lawyer turned writer and editor. Prior to attending law school, she graduated with an MA in English with an emphasis in creative writing. She is on staff at Literary Mama and her work has appeared in The Washington Post, Saveur, DAME, Brain, Child Magazine, ESPN, Role Reboot, Mothers Always Write, First Day Press, Parent.Co, Phoenix New Times and elsewhere. She is currently working on a memoir on grief, the Hindu culture and how it provides perspective on life’s ordinary graces. She lives in Arizona with her family.
